Inspecting the Nutritional Value.

Food is all around the store.

Following E Room's visit to Albany New World, they learnt how to read labels and to find the nutritional value of food.

Label reading was the first task E Room did. They read the label on the back of the food packets and recorded the nutritional information, such as, grams of fat, sugar and dietary fibre, kilojoules of energy and milligrams of sodium. This information is called the nutritional value, and they used it to recognise which food was healthier.

They also compared prices of the same item but different brands, to find the best priced item.

All in all it was a great time and we found out lots of information about healthy food.
