PTA

Next Meeting: The next PTA meeting will be held on Monday 26th August in the School Staffroom at 7pm. AG Day planning will be a key focus. All welcome!

Raffle Tickets:  AG Day raffle tickets available for sale in the school office Mon – Wed, cash or eftpos please see Paula Lucas. Win $1000 cash plus lots of other fantastic prizes!!! If you are interested in helping to sell a book of 10 tickets to friends and family please contact Michaela 0211888404.

Games Helper Needed: Our wonderful AG Day games organiser needs a helper to make the day a success; if you would like to join the fun please contact Rebekah@insighteds.co.nz.

Cane Baskets: We are seeking donations of medium/large cane baskets (diameter approx. 30cm plus) to create gift baskets and hampers for the silent auction. If you are able to help out could you please let us know at dairyflatschoolpta@gmail.com. Baskets can be dropped off at the school office or we can arrange pick up.

Grocery Donations: Thank you for all the AG Day grocery donations to date. The theme for next week is Chocoholics … all about chocolate; we need a ton to make our Ag Day games loads of fun!

White Elephant:  Time to start saving your precious goods to donate to the AG Day White Elephant stall:

Books, toys and games. Soft toys. 

Small appliances and household items in working condition.

Clothes and shoes.

NOTHING broken, rusty, with parts missing etc. No oil column or gas heaters. 

Drop off time will be at the school hall the week prior to AG Day, times TBA.

Ag Day

Entry forms are now available and due back to school by the 6th September. The first class to get them all in gets a pizza lunch, 2nd class an ice cream treat. All information sheets are on the website or in the Ag day folder in reception.

Vets coming tomorrow 16th August at 2.30pm. Please contact Mrs Mowat – email rmowat@dairyflat.school.nz if you are bringing in a lamb or goat.

It is recommended pet lambs get small feeds often-200-250 mls right up to Ag day. Judges will be looking for healthy well fed lambs. Make sure they also have adequate shelter and are wearing a collar and used to being led as soon as possible.

DAIRY FLAT TENNIS CLUB

Love Tennis”.  We’re holding the “Love Tennis” activities over the weekend of 7th& 8th September.

 

Coast Basketball is proud to present "Girls Got Game" Basketball Programme

This is a free community programme for girls only. We would like to encourage girls to participate in a fun and friendly environment for all levels. 

This will include:

Monday Skills Sessions: 6pm – 7pm @ Whangaparaoa College 

Saturday 3 v 3 League:

Junior Division – Year 4 – 6 @ 10:30am 

Senior Division – Year 7 – 9 @ 11:15am

Girls are not required to do both sessions and are free to choose if they would like to do the league and or the training. 

Registrations are now open for our Term 4 Girls Got Game Programme.

Players will register as individuals and be placed into 1 of 4 teams for each division.  Each team will consist of 5-6 athletes so there is a total of 20-24 registrations per age group.

Please go through Enrolmy on the school website. Look under the Information tab for Sports and put in your expression of interest. If we do not get enough children with coaches and managers teams will not be entered.

Daffodil Day – Mufti Day. Wear YELLOW!! Gold Coin Donation

After looking at the weather forecast for tomorrow and the unpredictability of this we have decided to postpone the School Fun Run/Cross Country at Shakespear Park – Friday 23rd August.

Tomorrow will now be a normal school day and the day will start at the regular time of 8.55am and a normal school programme will run.

We will have our School Fun Run/Cross Country on Monday 26th August at School.

PLEASE NOTE – SCHOOL FUN RUN/CROSS COUNTRY EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL MONDAY 26th AUGUST, 2019.
