Newsflash

Dear parents
If your child is unwell please keep them at home and notify the office of the absence. If they have a cough, runny nose, temperature or are complaining of a sore tummy (there is a tummy bug going around at the moment) please keep them at home so that other people don’t get ill. If you are concerned please take your child to the doctor.

re COVID -19
You will have seen the new travel restrictions implemented by the government over the weekend. We ask that you let us know if your children are travelling overseas. They will need to be in isolation and not return to school for two weeks after arrival in NZ from 1am 16th March. It is recommended that all non-essential international travel is postponed or cancelled. The new restrictions will be reviewed on Tuesday 31 March and then every 14 days after that date.

The symptoms of COVID-19 are:
a cough
a high temperature (at least 38°C)
shortness of breath.
These symptoms do not necessarily mean you have COVID-19. The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.

If you have these symptoms and have recently been to a country or area of concern, or have been in close contact with someone confirmed with COVID-19, please telephone Healthline (for free) on 0800 358 5453 or your doctor immediately.

We thank you for your support.
