COVID-19 UPDATES – Newsletter

When the time comes for Auckland to move to Alert Level 3, Dairy Flat School will be open for a small number of children who need to attend.

The purpose of this newsletter to you today, is to help us as a kura (school) make plans for when Jacinda Ardern announces that Tāmaki Mākaurau will be able to move to Alert Level 3.

The government has said that at Alert Level 3, you legally must stay within your household bubble unless for essential personal movement or work for essential workers. The Prime Minister has noted that schools are essentially closed at Alert Level 3 with the exception of those few children whose parents and carers must go to work at Alert Level 3, and there is no appropriate caregiver at home.  Children must stay at home if you are working from home. You can not choose for your child to come to school.

When the time comes for Auckland to move to Alert Level 3, Dairy Flat School will be open for a small number of children who need to attend. As you can imagine, it will not be school as we know it under Alert Level 2 or 1. Previously at Level 3 earlier this year, and late in 2020, we were able to have bubbles of up to 20, but the biggest change this time around is that we will only be able to have bubbles of up to 10.

We are already in the process of making plans for what this will look like, and how this will be managed at school. In order to help with the planning and ensure that we are as fully prepared as possible, could you please fill in this form. (only if needing to attend school)

Hard packs will be available to pick up Monday 13th 12.30-2pm  ORDER HERE
