Dairy Flat School Enrolment Zone – Explanation

Dairy Flat School has worked with the Ministry of Education and the local community to put an enrolment zone in place.  To enrol your child you need to make an appointment, complete the on-line enrolment application form together with the supporting documents.  We would like to give you the opportunity to look around the school and ask any questions you may have. Please see the attached image and description to see the proposed zone.

2023 Cohort Entry Year 0 & Year 1

From 2023 our school will start all Year 0 & Year 1 learners on the first day of Term or on the Midterm Monday.

Cohort entry is about helping children to settle in school. There is evidence that starting school alongside other children helps them build relationships and supports a smoother entry to school life.

It can also mean less disruption for new entrant teachers who can prepare for groups of children arriving on a specific date.

The 2023 dates are published below.  To arrange a visit please contact office@dairyflat.school.nz
